“Another Mystery By Varun”- Twitter Reacts As Chakravarthy Bowls A 109 KMPH Bouncer Against Quinton de Kock

The 65th match of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is underway at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Former two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders are battling against the Lucknow Super Giants. LSG won the toss and decided to bat first. The decision worked in their favor as they scored 210 runs without losing any wickets. Quinton de Kock became the second player to score a century for the Lucknow Super Giants.

KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock opened the innings for the Lucknow Super Giants. For the first time in IPL 2022, the Lucknow-based franchise had a 100-run opening partnership. The duo of Rahul and de Kock remained not out till the end as they added 210 runs for the first wicket. It is the first time in IPL history that a team has not lost a single wicket in 20-over completed innings.

Speaking with the host broadcasters after the match, Lucknow Super Giants head coach Andy Flower said:

“It is a hell of a score. They batted beautifully. We have seen some special batting from them this season. They are beautiful to watch. At the end of the 18th over, we sent a message, we sent a message saying that if you are too tired, you can retire out and we can send the big hitters in.”

During the eighth over of the innings bowled by Varun Chakravarthy, the mystery spinner overstepped and Quinton de Kock received a free hit. The batter tried to take advantage of the situation, but Varun thought two steps ahead of him and fired a 109 km bouncer at him.
