England players are down with viral infection ahead of first Test against Pakistan.

English pacer Stuart Broad came up with a hilarious reaction after ECB announced that they are in discussions with the PCB regarding the start of the first Test due to a viral infection within their contingent.  He suggested the board to open with Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussain in the first Test against Pakistan.

In what is touted as a historic tour, England is in Pakistan for the three-match Test series after 17 years. The first game will be played from 1st December in Rawalpindi followed by the second game to be scheduled on 9th December in Multan. The final game of the series will take place in Karachi from 17th December.

With just a day remaining for the first game between England and Pakistan in Rawalpindi, 13 players from the English contingent including skipper Ben Stokes are down with the viral infection. It is learned as per the various media reports, the visitors are suffering from food poisoning.

Following the development, both ECB and PCB are in discussions regarding the commencement of the first Test. The players are being monitored and the decision related to the kickstarting of the game will be announced soon.

As ECB is in discussions with the PCB regarding the start of the first Test, Stuart Broad came up with a hilarious suggestion. He said that if the main players are not fine then Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussain in the first Test against Pakistan. He took to his Twitter account and tweeted:

Notably, England has also named their playing XI for the first Test and when they step on the field, it’ll be a debut for Liam Livingstone.
