The number of injured cricketers is increasing day after day. Due to hectic schedule and short breaks between matches, the fitness of all cricketers has been impacted, and they are getting injured quite frequently. Several players missed out on playing some big events owing to injuries.

Openers from Injured cricketers – Jonny Bairstow and Rishabh Pant

England’s star wicket-keeper batter Jonny Bairstow will open the innings with India’s star wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant for this team. Both Bairstow and Pant had accidents last year while they were away from the cricket field. Bairstow is likely to return in second half of 2023, but Pant may remain out of action for a long time.

RCB all-rounder Will Jacks and CSK all-rounder Kyle Jamieson have been ruled out of IPL 2023 owing to injury issues. RCB have roped in Michael Bracewell as a replacement, while Sisanda Magala has joined the CSK team. Tom Curran also suffered a back injury recently and might miss first few matches of T20 Blast in England.

Bowlers – Jasprit Bumrah, Keshav Maharaj and Prasidh Krishna

Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna will form the pace attack of this team. Both Indian pacers underwent surgery recently and will be out of action for some time. South African spinner Keshav Maharaj suffered a freak injury while celebrating a wicket in a Test match against West Indies.
