Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal shockingly missed out on a place in the Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup. However, some fans feel that he is likely to make a comeback before the squad is finalized. The selection committee decided to pick Rahul Chahar over Yuzvendra Chahal because he bowls relatively faster.
This decision surprised many fans because Chahal has been the number, one spin bowler, for the Indian cricket team in the shorter formats for quite some time. The team management has picked five spin-bowling options for the mega event, but Chahal isn’t one of them.

All Player of the Match awards have been won in the United Arab Emirates by the RCB star
So far in his Indian Premier League career, Yuzvendra Chahal has represented two franchises, namely the Mumbai Indians and the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has won three Player of the Match awards, and all of them have come while playing for the RCB franchise. Notably, all of them have come in the United Arab Emirates only.
Chahal won his first Player of the Match award against the Delhi Capitals during the 2014 edition of the Indian Premier League at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. He waited for six years for his second Player of the Match before finally winning it against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in 2020. Next, he won against RR in Abu Dhabi, and his fourth one came yesterday. Thus, India may miss him in the T20 World Cup, set to be played at the same venues.
