1) Devon Conway
Punjab Kings did try many cricketers to fill the opening spot. Devon Conway was also one of the targets for the franchise at the event.
However, CSK wanted the Kiwi back and Punjab could not spend further. Hence, they could not sign the cricketer who did well in IPL 2023.
2) Ishan Kishan was targeted by Punjab Kings for IPL 2025
Ishan Kishan is one of the famous players Punjab Kings targeted but could not sign in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. The Jharkhand wicket-keeper was a target for the franchise.
The team was looking for an opener and hence, Ishan was a part of the wish-list. However, the team did not have the budget to pursue the cricketer further.
3) Will Jacks
Punjab Kings was also one of the franchises that bid for Will Jacks. However, they could not sign the English star, who will play for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025.
Jacks would have been a perfect fit at Punjab. The opening combination would have been better for the side if they had signed him.
