2 changes India could make for the next Test against New Zealand

It was a poor defeat for India to concede against New Zealand in Bengaluru. The game had to be won because India will be having a tough tour to Australia before the WTC Final. Hence, for the qualification, they had to get the maximum wins in India. Now, the hosts are under pressure and the management could make a few changes before the next game. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two changes India could make for the next Test against New Zealand in Pune.

1) Akash Deep for Kuldeep Yadav

Considering the overcast conditions, Akash Deep would have been handy in the playing XI. However, the team went for the extra spinner and the result did backfire. Also, Kuldeep was not at his best and with the bat, as well, there was more expected of him, especially because he had improved his skills in recent times.

Akash Deep has this wicket-taking ability and India will rely on this to tackle the likes of Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra. Therefore, he is likely to come in for the next match.

2) Shubman Gill for KL Rahul

Shubman Gill for KL Rahul is one of the changes India could make for the next Test against New Zealand in Pune. It has just not been going great for KL Rahul in the recent months. It was a failure for him in Bengaluru. Now, with Sarfaraz Khan cementing his spot, KL is likely to be dropped.

Shubman Gill is likely to return and get in at No.3. KL Rahul needs a break and this could also help him. It is all in the mindset and at the earlies, KL Rahul must change it or else he could be out of the squad completely.
