2 changes India might make for the third ODI against Sri Lanka

In the second ODI, India had a disastrous outing. In fact, in the first game, as well, India was not very good. Now, they are trailing in the series and need to win the final game in Colombo to level the tournament. It could be a tough challenge because Sri Lankan spinners are doing well and the venue will be the same. Gautam Gambhir might make a few changes for the game. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two changes India might make for the third ODI against Sri Lanka.

1) Riyan Parag for Shivam Dube

India might need the third seamer at Colombo considering the conditions. Also, when promoted up the order, Shivam Dube could not do his best. Hence, it would be an interesting move to replace him with Riyan Parag, who was actually decent in the T20I series.

Parag would add more stability in the lower middle order, especially when the team is in trouble. Also, he could bowl quite a few overs of spin, which could give India the edge in the middle overs. Therefore, this change could be considered by the management.

2) K Khaleel Ahmed for Arshdeep Singh

K Khaleel Ahmed for Arshdeep Singh is one of the changes India might make for the third ODI against Sri Lanka. Arshdeep Singh has not been his best in the ODI series. It could be possible that this format might not be his strongest. He also needs some rest and it would be a good idea to have Khaleel a comeback in the ODI format.

Khaleel could play a great role along with Mohammed Siraj in the powerplay. The youngster could also be tested in this format. If he does well, India could keep him in the plans going forward, especially with the Champions Trophy happening next year.
