While we know what the West Indies could offer with the pitches, it is still not sure what lies ahead in the USA. Hence, it could be difficult to rank a bowling attack. However, based on experience and skillsets, we can draw a conclusion. Of course, the current form also plays a vital role here. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three teams with the best bowling attack for the 2024 T20 World Cup.
1) Australia
Australia has had a similar bowling attack for all the formats of the game. Yet again, the trio of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Jos Hazlewood will form a great bowling attack.
Nathan Ellis is a T20 specialist and he adds variety to this attack. In the spin department, we have Adam Zampa leading the way with Ashton Agar and Glenn Maxwell supporting him. Cameron Green and Marcus Stoinis are the all-rounders in the squad.
2) New Zealand
New Zealand is one of the teams with the best bowling attack for the 2024 T20 World Cup. Trent Boult is one of the best powerplay bowlers in the format right now. Tim Southee can be equally dangerous with the new ball.
Lockie Ferguson displayed superb form and variations in IPL 2024. Matt Henry is an under-rated bowler who can also do well. Mitchell Santner is an excellent spinner while Ish Sodhi and Glenn Phillips will find assistance from the pitches in the West Indies.
3) Pakistan
Pakistan has gone pace-heavy with Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah. Even if two of these players are in good form, Pakistan will do well.
In the spin unit, Imad Wasim will play a huge role. Shadab Khan could get a chance but Abrar Ahmed might also be an interesting option. There is variety, depth and if they are in form, Pakistan will bowl well.
