It is now or never for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The team had a terrible outing, especially with the ball, against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday. The team’s next game is against KKR at the Eden Gardens. KKR is in form and yet again, RCB will be under pressure to do well. Obviously, some changes are likely to happen to the playing XI. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two changes RCB could make for their next game against KKR.
1) Cameron Green for Reece Topley
With Glenn Maxwell taking a break and Reece Topley having a terrible day at the office against SRH, RCB might make a tactical change to bring in Cameron Green. The Aussie all-rounder is a youngster and he needs to be backed to come good.
Anyways, RCB’s middle-order is in a mess and compared to the likes of Anuj Rawat, Cameron Green would add better value to the setup. Plus, on his day, he can do well with the ball. If RCB wants to freeze the players they will want to retain before the Mega Auction, it is time that they give some games to Cameron Green.
2) Mohammed Siraj for Saurav Chauhan
Mayank Dagar for Saurav Chauhan is one of the changes RCB could make for their next game against KKR. If Topley drops out, RCB would need a pacer. It is no surprise that they must go for Mohammed Siraj.
Siraj is in bad form at the moment. However, he is an experienced cricketer and he has done well in this situation before. He has not bowled the first over in the recent games for RCB. The management must change this and ensure that Siraj is bowling the first over. If he does well, this would increase his confidence, which would further help the team in the tournament.
