The WWE Universe witnessed the return of The Celtic Warrior, Sheamus on last week’s edition of Monday Night RAW after eight months on the sidelines. Sheamus dealt with serious shoulder and neck issues that he himself revealed recently would have brought an end to his WWE career.
But with the help of a highly skilled team of doctors, trainers, and physiotherapists, The Great White is healthy and back on the WWE roster. Moreover, he made a huge statement by defeating the superheavyweight Ivar in his return match on RAW, kicking off his comeback to an excellent start.
So here are 3 directions for WWE to book Sheamus’ return in the best possible way:
1. Sheamus goes after the one championship he has not won in his career
Sheamus has won numerous championships, and accolades in his 15-year tenure in WWE from being a multiple-time World champion to, Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank winner, and countless other singles and tag team titles. However, the one championship that has alluded to his illustrious resume is the WWE Intercontinental Championship currently held by Sami Zayn.
This could be WWE’s opportunity to book a credible opponent for Sami Zayn’s title reign with Sheamus added to the mix and producing a banger encounter that could possibly see him capture the workhorse title.
2. WWE books Sheamus vs Gunther for yet another banger
Sheamus has delivered some of the most remarkable bouts in his years inside the WWE squared circle. However, one of the most memorable bouts in his resume is the clash against GUNTHER at WWE Clash at the Castle 2022. It was undoubtedly one of the greatest WWE matches of all time and the fans would like nothing more than another encounter between both heavy-hitters at a major WWE PLE.
3. The Celtic Warrior heads to the tag team division
It has been years since Sheamus was an integral part of the WWE tag team division. Moreover, his amazing partnership with former WWE star Cesaro, known as The Bar was very much credited back in the day. With the introduction of new tag team titles in WWE, Sheamus could find himself a partner and head straight for the new gold in the tag division that has formidable teams like Awesome Truth, DIY, and New Catch Republic.
4. Sheamus Challenges the new kingdom
Two weeks before Sheamus had his homecoming, WWE saw the rise of a new kingdom as Cody Rhodes defeated the longest reigning champion of the modern era, Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion. Being a former World Champion himself, Sheamus could step up to challenge The American Nightmare proving to be one of the most hard-hitting and physically intense challengers to his title reign.
