Not often does a player get a chance to represent more than one country in the IPL. However, it has happened quite a few times in the competition, so far. While a player is playing in the IPL, a lot has changed when it was about his international career. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two players who have represented two nations in IPL history.
1) David Wiese – South Africa and Namibia
David Wiese played for RCB when he was still a part of the South African setup. He had a decent campaign in the IPL with the Bengaluru-based outfit. However, he did not play in the IPL for a long time after that.
Meanwhile, there were things going on in his international career, as well. He came out of South Africa and started representing Namibia. For Namibia, it was a big boost having an experienced all-rounder like David in the setup. On one side, he helped the side do well and win a few matches. On the other, David was a big help to the youngsters on the side. Recently, he was a part of sides such as KKR, in which he came in as a Namibia cricketer.
2) Dirk Nannes – Australia and The Netherlands
Dirk Nannes is one of the players who have represented two nations in IPL history. When Dirk Nannes was first picked by Delhi Daredevils at the beginning of IPL, he was a Dutch player. He was playing in many European leagues back then.
However, later when he represented teams such as CSK and RCB, he represented Australia. For Australia, he had a good run in the T20 run. A quick left-arm pacer, not many have travelled in the same route in IPL. In the recent years, he has taken to broadcasting.
