WWE Rumors: Possible Spoiler On WrestleMania 40 Main Event

WrestleMania will celebrate its 40th anniversary next year in Philadelphia. It will be the 40th edition of the biggest event in sports entertainment, and every Superstar on the active roster will aim to be a part of the WrestleMania 40 main event.

WWE recently released the first poster for the mega event, which will take place on April 6 and 7, 2024 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The show will feature the likes of Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and Asuka.

Like the last four WrestleMania shows, WrestleMania XL will be a two-night event as well. There will be two main events for the show. While it is easy to guess that one of the two main events will be for the World Heavyweight Championship or the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, it is difficult to predict which match will headline Night 1 of WrestleMania 40.

In 2023, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn challenged The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship in the main event of Night 1. Before that, in 2022, Kevin Owens battled Stone Cold Steve Austin in the closing match of the opening night.

Becky Lynch vs Rhea Ripley likely to main event WrestleMania 40

Looking at the poster of the WrestleMania 40 mega event, it looks like there will be a women’s match in the main event on the first night. The reigning Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley is present on the poster along with The Man Becky Lynch. It looks like this match will main event the show. Becky even addressed it an interview as she said:

“I’ll be main-eventing Night 1 and taking that title from Rhea Ripley.”

It seems highly unlikely that Rhea Ripley will drop her Women’s World Championship in the coming months. WWE has teased a feud between Rhea and Becky Lynch. WrestleMania 40 will be the perfect stage.
