Ashes 2023 has lived up to the expectations so far as both the games have been enthralling to watch. England and Australia played a high-quality brand of cricket as both the games went down the wire and there wasn’t any surety about who will win. If it was Australia, who won the first two games, England made a staggering comeback in the third game and made sure that series stay alive.

Australia after two dominating performances in the first two games didn’t live up to the expectations in the third game. They batted and bowled poorly and were at the losing end. They had a great opportunity to seal the series but they have to wait and might get there in the next game. They would be looking to make some changes in the next game and let’s take a look at them.

Cameron Green in place of David Warner

One of the bold changes that Australia can do for the 4th Test at Manchester is they can bring Cameron Green back into the team. The all-rounder missed the third game due to injury but it is likely that he will be back there in the team for the fourth Test. He is likely to replace David Warner in the team as the opener has looked torrid in this series. The batter’s place in the team is under scanner and it won’t be a surprise if he gets snubbed from the next game. If that happens Australia might ask Travis Head to open the innings as he did in India.

Josh Hazlewood in place of Scott Boland

Another change that might be on the cards for Australia is that they can bring Josh Hazlewood back into the team. The fast bowler played the first two games but had a sort of niggle, which saw him missing the third game. He’s likely to come back in the team in place of Scott Boland, who has looked off colours in the team in this Ashes series. Therefore it is likely that he will be out there in the next game.
