It has been a thousand days since Roman Reigns earned the WWE Universal Championship and ever since then, countless opponents have come and gone and yet he stands tall, with the gold around his waist.
Now that the WWE Universe is starting to make louder noises about a new champion, the most obvious question is who can be the ones to define the shot that would dismantle Roman Reigns from the Championship. The answer isn’t easy to come around but then again, WWE definitely has a few names up their sleeves who can be the perfect fit for the bill.
1. Solo Sikoa could defeat Roman Reigns
Though Solo Sikoa has proven to be a trusted servant of Reigns, yet going by the chequered history of WWE, we have seen the closest of friends turning on each other and lead to a storyline like never before.
The Enforcer has a solid stature and most importantly can match Reigns pound for pound. With all said and done, Solo Sikoa will be the perfect contender to derail Roman Reigns from the Championship and would be the perfect keeper of the title around his waist.
2. Seth Rollins can defeat Roman Reigns
Seth Rollins can be another major name who can lay his eyes back on the big man. Formerly his brother in the Shield, the two walked entirely different paths. With Rollins being the Heavyweight champion already, it won’t be surprising if he chooses to lock horns with Roman Reigns for another title run.
3. Gunther
The ring general has proven to be an efficient fighter over the days and with every passing day, he has been closing around the bigger title reigns.
With Roman Reigns now getting aloof from his former teammates, if there comes a time when he stands alone, Gunther, being on the rise already can come looking for the big prize and it won’t be surprising for him at all.
4. Drew McIntyre
The Scottish psychopath Drew McIntyre has already battled with the Tribal Chief in a pursuit of clinching the title around his waist. Sadly, McIntyre couldn’t lay his hands on the prize after Solo Sikoa intervened.
Now with a hiatus between his last title run and his current mid-table battles, it won’t be startling if Roman Reigns is challenged again by McIntyre.
