“Unmatchable energy” – Twitter erupts after Virat Kohli pulls off epic celebration in front of RCB fans during the game against LSG

Lucknow Super Giants are crossing swords with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 43rd game of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. The game is being held at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and chose to bat first on a tough batting wicket. The batters literally found it tough to go about their business. LSG bowlers chipped in with disciplinary bowling performances when it mattered the most.

The bowlers kept the RCB batters silent more often than not throughout the game. RCB posted just 42 runs in the powerplay overs, which is the lowest-ever powerplay score for them in IPL 2023.

RCB captain Faf du Plessis was the pick of the batters as he top-scored with 44 off 40 balls including 1 four and 1 six. Virat Kohli scored 31 off 30 balls including three fours. In the end, RCB could post 126/9 in their quota of 20 overs. On the contrary, Naveen-ul-Haq took 3 wickets whereas the likes of Ravi Bishnoi and Amit Mishra took 2 wickets apiece.

During Lucknow Super Giants’ run-chase, Kyle Mayers departed for a second-ball duck as he fell prey to Mohammed Siraj’s delivery. Krunal Pandya who came to bat higher up the order smashed three boundaries and looked menacing but was dismissed by Glenn Maxwell.

Krunal Pandya tried to loft the ball and ended up hitting it straight to Virat Kohli. The former RCB captain took the catch in his safe pair of hands and then pulled off an epic celebration in front of RCB fans.

For the record, Gautam Gambhir, the LSG mentor hogged the limelight for his finger-on-lip celebration in front of RCB fans after LSG defeated RCB by 1 wicket in the first leg at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
