India and Australia are currently locking horns in the series-decider third ODI in Chennai. The visitors’ skipper Steve Smith won the toss and decided to bat first in what seemed to be a good batting surface.
Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head yet again took Australia off the flyer as they smashed Indian bowlers all over the park and made their mockery like the second game. They stitched 68 runs for the opening partnership and gave their team a rollicking start.
However, star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya curtailed the run flow and shifted the momentum towards his side. He first removed Head for 33 runs and then followed it up with a wicket of Steve Smith for a two-ball duck.
The wicket of Smith was the more valuable for him as this was the 5th time. The all-rounder bowled a delivery on a driveable length outside off. Smith tried to for a booming drive but played a bit away from his body. He ended up getting a thick outside edge, which was pouched by KL Rahul to send the batter packing for a duck. Hardik, however, didn’t stop there as after that removed Mitchell Marsh as well for 47 runs. His staggering bowling spell has reduced Australia from 68/0 to 85/3.
