Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli is currently part of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy series against the Australian national cricket team. India’s run-scoring machine is yet to end his Test century drought.
It has been over three years since he last scored a century in the longest format of the game. The run-machine scored his last Test century against the Bangladesh cricket team during a day-night pink-ball affair.
Since then, he literally struggled to score a big knock but he played some impactful innings when it mattered the most for the team. He will be looking forward to ending his Test ton drought in the third Test against the Aussies.
The third Test match between India and Australia will kick off at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. It will be quite interesting to see how Kohli goes about his work after failing to score any milestones in the first two games.
Virat Kohli needs 1 more catch to complete 300 catches in international cricket
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has a great opportunity to create a record in the upcoming Test match. He needs one more catch to complete 300 catches in the international circuit.
Virat Kohli is an exceptional fielder and has even stopped the flow of runs with acrobatic dives. At the same time, he has taken splendid catches on the field with stupendous efforts.
On the other hand, we have also seen him missing the easiest of the catches and there were many incidents of him dropping the sitters or regulation catches. Despite all that, he has taken 299 catches in international cricket.
As a fielder, Virat Kohli has taken as many as 108 catches in the longest format of the game. On the other end of the spectrum, Kohli has taken 141 catches in One-Day Internationals and 50 catches in Twenty20 Internationals. In the IPL, he has taken 93 catches to his name.
