“The sun will rise again tomorrow in ODI,” Suryakumar Yadav on his struggles in the 50-over format

Suryakumar Yadav has opened up about his struggling form in the ODIs. He said that although the 50-over series against New Zealand didn’t go his way but that is how the sport is and the sun will rise again tomorrow in ODI.

Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav has hogged the headlines for his heroics in T20 cricket. He is a short span of time has developed himself into one of the most talked about batters in Indian Cricket with his heroics.

Ever since he made his debut for India, he has made a vital contribution in every match he has played. While there’s no doubt about his ability in the shortest format of the game, he’s yet to make a mark in ODIs as he has so far failed to get going in the format.

In the three games against New Zealand, he failed to get going as he scored 45 runs in the two innings. But it’s fair to say that it’s only a matter of time before he’ll get his feet going in the ODIs.

Amid all the criticism related to his form in the ODIs, Suryakumar has opened up about his poor run. He said that although the series didn’t go his way but the sun will rise again tomorrow in this format. He said:

“ODI series did not go the way I wanted but it’s fine, that is how the sport is – The sun will rise again tomorrow in ODI (Smiles)”.

Suryakumar Yadav will next be seen in the action in the second T20I against New Zealand on 29th January. He scored 47 runs in the first game and batted staggeringly well.
