Roman Reigns has been an unstoppable force ever since he turned heel and became WWE Universal Champion. After hammering every top superstar from the current roster, the biggest question in every fan’s mind is, “Who is going to end the undefeated streak of Roman Reigns?”
Bray Wyatt is heavily rumored to be returning to WWE. So, The Eater of worlds could be that last piece of unsolved puzzle that ends the dominant reign of Roman. Here are three main reasons why Bray Wyatt is the perfect candidate to dethrone Reigns.
1. Absence of Cody Rhodes
According to reports, USA Network wants one world title on RAW. Cody Rhodes was a potential choice to defeat Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship but was sidelined from the in-ring competition after suffering an unfortunate injury.
As The American Nightmare is not expected to return anytime soon, Bray Wyatt would be an ideal contender to take at least one title from The Tribal Chief.
2. ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt never forgets
It would’ve been cool to see the feud between “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and how Alexa Bliss would’ve fit into the storyline. But we never got that feud sadly. After all, Roman Reigns did win the Universal Championship from The Fiend. pic.twitter.com/VOOCcRH5ow

The Fiend defended his Universal championship against Reigns and Braun Strowman in a triple threat match at Payback 2020. Roman pinned The Monster among Men and became the new champion.
So, technically Bray Wyatt was not beaten by The Head of the Table as he pinned Braun. That would be a fitting comeback story for Bray Wyatt to regain the titles he never lost. Plus, the character of ‘The Fiend’ is that he never forgets what happened in the past.
3. Makes Roman Reigns vs The Rock unpredictable
Roman vs. Rock should be non-title, but if WWE wants Roman to be champion heading in to #WrestleMania then these should be the main events:
Night 1
Seth Rollins (c) vs. Cody Rhodes for the WWE TitleNight 2
Roman Reigns (c) vs. The Rock for the Universal TitleAdvertisement— Christian Maracle (@MaracleMan) September 18, 2022
There’s a strong belief that Roman Reigns will clash with The Rock at WrestleMania next year, which should be a non-title match. If it is a title match, Roman will start as a clear favorite because The Rock will not become the world champion in what could be the last match of his career.
Roman Reigns would need to drop his title before WrestleMania to feud with The Brahma Bull. WWE will need someone of a stature like Reigns to hold the Undisputed title. If a highly talented wrestler like Wyatt returns, he could be inserted into title picture straightaway and by making him the champion, WWE can book one more big money match for WrestleMania 39.
