Who Was The Mystery Man Who Attacked AJ Styles on WWE RAW?

A mystery attacker tried to grab hold of AJ Styles and pull him into the crowd during this week’s RAW. Styles was in a tag team match with United States Champion Bobby Lashley as a partner and they were facing The Miz and Ciampa in a back and forth fight before he was ambushed by a man in a hood and a mask who appeared from the crowd.

Fortunately, the ring side officials were vigilant enough to intercept him before he could do any damage and took him away. A Twitter account that highlights obscure local wrestlers who appear in squash matches in WWE, The Local Competitor @LocalCompWWE , has identified this attacker as Rajan Husher.

The tweet went like: “On the new WWE RAW episode: Who was taken away by riot police during The Miz & Ciampa vs. AJ Styles & Bobby Lashley match? Rajan Husher was the man who attacked AJ. Rajan trained at the Battle Arts Academy where he also competes.” By name, Rajan Husher sounds of Indian origin.

What’s next for Dexter Lumis, The Miz and AJ Styles on WWE RAW?

This wasn’t the only attack during the match though. Dexter Lumis, who has been showing up in the crowds during AJ Styles’ matches for the past few weeks, appeared again and grabbed The Miz, in a choke hold, dragging him into the crowd.

The match was stopped due to this outside interference, the win being awarded to The Miz and Ciampa via disqualification. Ciampa wasn’t done however, and jumped on the Almighty US Champ but was laid out by him and Styles who finished him off by their respective finishing moves.

We have seen these sneak attacks by rebel groups in the past too. Nexus, SAnitY, Retribution, even The Shield used to attack others during wrestling matches. This shtick isn’t special and most members of such groups fade away into obscurity.

Let’s just hope Triple H, as the head of creative, knows what he is doing and makes something great out of this surprise attack angle and builds Dexter Lumis up into something substantial.
