Johnny Gargano is considered one of the best in-ring talents in the world and was a main stay during his days in NXT under Triple H’s era. He has not been seen on WWE TV, ever since the December 5th episode of NXT giving a heartfelt farewell speech indicating his exit from the company.
Since then, Gargano has not made any wrestling appearances (except for his video cameo for Impact Wrestling) with his WWE contract expiring on December 10, 2021 and the wrestling fans are yet to see the next stop to witness Johnny Wrestling.

Recent reports suggest that with Triple H taking over control as the Head of Creative and already bringing significant changes to the product ever since his reign began, Johnny would be open to talks with Hunter regarding a potential return to the WWE.
Gargano left the company potentially due to the birth of his son Quill Lewish on February 17, 2022 and being frustrated with his position in NXT under the last leadership while also seeing some NXT Originals like Adam Cole, Kyle O Reilly, Keith Lee departing from the company. Gargano established himself as a top Superstar in the former Black N Gold brand under Triple H’s creative direction and that could a driving factor for Johnny Wrestling to make a comeback due to his belief in Triple H vision for him and his second coming in the WWE.

According to @NewsXero as revealed on Twitter, an early plan for Gargano’s return indicates a reunion moment with his former stablemate from ‘The Way’, current WWE RAW star Theory with Mr Money in the Bank turning on him leading to a classic feud between the two young superstars culminating into an instant classic one on one match between Gargano and Theory.
The feud won’t last longer than a month, as Triple H plans to push Johnny Wrestling as a top singles star on the main roster, putting him against some of the top tier talents and potentially giving a much deserved title run to the talented Superstar.
