The 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is nearing. The event will start on March 26th with the game between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. MS Dhoni starts preparation for IPL 2022 in Surat
CSK has shifted its base for preparation from Chennai to Surat. This is because the soil used to make tracks in Surat is the same as that in Mumbai. Since the group phase of IPL 2022 will happen in Mumbai and Pune, CSK will prepare for the competition in Surat.
MS Dhoni had already started practising in Chennai and now, he has joined the camp in Surat, as well. The former India skipper was retained by the franchise despite being over 40 years of age. His form in recent years with the bat has not been great. However, in qualifier 1 of IPL 2021, MS Dhoni showed glimpses of returning to form. In line with this, the Ranchi man has started preparing himself for the main event.
Meanwhile, CSK has been dealt a massive blow with the injury to Deepak Chahar. The player was supposed to lead the bowling attack but will now miss a major part of IPL 2022. It needs to be seen as to how CSK would tackle the situation.
