WWE Royal Rumble is the next premium live event of the company. As always, the show will be headlined by a 30-person Rumble match. The rules of the match are simple. Two wrestlers will enter the ring and start the match. After every fixed time interval, a new star will join them, and it will continue until all 30 participants have entered the match.
The elimination rules are such that a participant can be eliminated if he or she is tossed from above the top rope and both feet touch the floor. Many Superstars have already declared their entry for Royal Rumble 2022. Here are the five Superstars who could win the match for the first time in their careers.
1. Austin Theory could be a shock Royal Rumble winner
Austin Theory is a Superstar who has personally received a push from Vince McMahon on WWE TV. The storyline started at Survivor Series and has continued in 2022. It should not be a surprise if McMahon books Theory to win because he sees a future star in him.
2. Damian Priest could win Royal Rumble
Reigning WWE US Champion Damian Priest has been unstoppable on the main roster. He has made a name for himself with his excellent work inside the ring. Since he looks like a future megastar, Priest could be booked to win the Rumble.
3. AJ Styles
Grand Slam champion AJ Styles started his WWE career as a surprise entrant in the 2016 Royal Rumble match. While Styles has achieved a lot in his career, he is yet to win the Rumble. 2022 could perhaps be the year of the Phenomenal One.
4. Big E
Former WWE Champion Big E is one of the rumored favorites to win the Royal Rumble match this year. Given how strongly the New Day member has been booked since the Money in the Bank premium live event of 2021, he could be a top contender to win the Rumble for the first time.
5. Finn Balor
Finn Balor has not won a world title ever since he relinquished the Universal title in 2016. The Irish Superstar could return to the main event scene by shocking the world and winning the Royal Rumble for the first time in his career.
