Travis Head is one of the top performers in the 2023 ODI World Cup who deserves an IPL contract. Head did not play a major part in the tournament. He was available only for a few games. However, on his return to the competition, he hit a fine century.

He would be on the top of the list for many franchises. Head is a versatile cricketer and would command value because of his aggressive approach. He has not bowled a lot recently but that would also be in the back of the mind for a few teams.

3) Kusal Mendis

Kusal Mendis is one player who has been consistent for Sri Lanka in recent years. He bats with a positive attitude and more often than not, this helps his team in a good way.

Considering he can also keep wickets, Kusal would be a solid investment for any franchise. Teams such as KKR might be in need of a keeper who is able to open the batting. They can target the Sri Lankan player in the IPL 2024 Auctions.

4) Daryl Mitchell

Daryl Mitchell is also one of the top performers in the 2023 ODI World Cup who deserves an IPL contract. Mitchell has played in the IPL before for Rajasthan Royals. Since his last IPL stint, he has improved as a player.

In the middle-order, if any batter can operate the way that Mitchell has been doing for the Kiwis, he would be a top signing. Plus, he can bat up the order and also bowl some medium pace. These factors make him an attractive signing for some teams.

5) Gerald Coetzee

It was a surprise to see no franchise pick up Coetzee as a replacement in IPL 2023 despite many injury issues. However, there would be a mad rush for the South African pacer in IPL 2024 Auctions.

He is someone who has all the attributes needed to succeed as a T20 pacer. He is also in good form, picking crucial wickets for his side. Coetzee is also a long-term investment for any franchise and hence, he would be in firm demand.
