Hardik Pandya has made history by becoming the first player to lead the Gujarat Titans to the Indian Premier League trophy. Not many fans expected GT to win the IPL 2022 title when the auction ended, but playing under the captaincy of Hardik, the Ahmedabad-based franchise topped the points table, won the Qualifier 1 and won the final to lift the trophy.
Pandya was the standout performer for the Gujarat Titans. He was the top run-scorer for the team, and he brought his ‘A’ game to the table in the IPL 2022 Final, scalping three wickets with his right-arm pace. Thanks to his incredible spell, Hardik won the Man of the Match award in the IPL 2022 Final.
Speaking at the post-match presentation of the IPL 2022 Final, Hardik Pandya said:
“It had to come. I was saving it for the best. I’ve worked hard for it and at the right time, I wanted to show what I’ve worked hard for. Today was the day, I saved the best for the last from a bowling point of view.”
Fans on Twitter react as Hardik Pandya maintains his 100% record in IPL Finals
Before becoming the captain of the Gujarat Titans team, Hardik Pandya was a part of the Mumbai Indians squad. Pandya played four IPL Finals with MI and won all of them. The seasons where he won the trophy were 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020. After missing out the playoffs in IPL 2021, Hardik’s team topped the standings and won the title this year.
Thus after the big win at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Hardik now has a perfect record of 5 out of 5 in the IPL Finals. Not many players have been able to perform so well consistently in IPL Finals, but Hardik did the job for the Gujarat Titans this season. Here are some of the top Twitter reactions:

To be honest, the difference between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals was Hardik Pandya. Both teams have gun bowling attacks…but Hardik brought the much needed balance in the XI…something RR didn’t have. None of their top 6 batters bowled.
