4 Ways Roman Reigns Could Lose His Title At WWE Clash at the Castle 2022

WWE’s preparations for its first stadium show in the United Kingdom since SummerSlam 1992 culminates this Saturday with the presentation of the WWE Clash at the Castle, set to take place at the Millennium Stadium on September 3 in Cardiff. The premium event with a stacked match card and a blockbuster main event showdown with The Head of the Table Roman Reigns defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against the Chosen One, Drew McIntyre.

Nearly 65,000+ fans are expected to be in attendance and most of them would be behind the hometown hero Drew McIntyre, who walks into the match as a fan favorite looking to seize the moment of glory that has eluded him since WrestleMania 36.

If WWE Clash at the Castle is indeed the end of the reign of relevancy for Roman Reigns here are 4 ways in which his nearly two-year-long title reign can finally see its demise:

1. Drew McIntyre beats Roman Reigns clean at WWE Clash at the Castle 2022

Drew McIntyre was destined for greatness ever since he set foot inside a WWE ring in 2009 and his hard road of triumph and turbulence could finally reach its milestone stop with the Scottish Warrior kicking Roman Reigns with a Claymore after a hard-fought battle and picking up a clean victory in front of his home crowd to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, claiming his long-awaited moment of glory.

2. Austin Theory shockingly cashes in his Money in the Bank and becomes champion

WWE’s resident Mr. Money in the Bank Austin Theory could be the deciding factor in the highly anticipated main event at WWE Clash at the Castle. Originally, Theory vowed to cash in his briefcase at WWE SummerSlam, but his attempt met the fury of Brock Lesnar who took the Selfie King out of the equation.

Theory could bounce back and upset one of the biggest WWE audiences (heavily favoring Drew McIntyre to win) in history by ending Roman’s title reign with his golden opportunity and cementing himself as a main event star in the WWE.

3. Karrion Kross costs Roman Reigns

Karrion Kross’ looming presence and intention to capture the Undisputed Title could see him interfere on Drew’s behalf, taking out ‘The Bloodline’ evening the odds and distracting Reigns long enough for McIntyre to seize the moment and claim the victory for himself, not before being laid out by Kross signaling that Drew will fall to his feet and he will prey on his carcass to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Title.

4. Bray Wyatt returns with vengeance

If rumors surrounding Bray Wyatt’s return come to be true, we could see a role reversal situation from SummerSlam 2020 where we saw the first impression of Roman’s Tribal Chief gimmick who re-emerged after months of inactivity and laid out the Fiend moments after he became WWE Universal Champion.

This time, we could see Wyatt emerge back to the WWE during the final moments of the match taking out Reigns as a long-awaited payback and disappearing into the darkness, giving Drew the opening to pin Roman Reigns and become champion.
