IPL 2024 has seen a lot of players getting ruled out due to injury issues or due to personal reasons. Hence, a few teams have been careful in opting for replacements who shall be available for the entire season. However, at the same time, there are a few players who are having to spend a lot of time on the bench. 1) Vijayakanth Viyaskanth
The Sri Lankan spinner came in as the replacement for Wanindu Hasaranga at Sunrisers Hyderabad. He is yet to play a game so far.
The leg-spinner has experience playing in various T20 leagues. He was recently seen in the International League T20 in the UAE.
2) Donovan Ferreira
Donovan Ferreira is one of the foreigners you might not know are a part of the ongoing IPL 2024. The South African has been with Rajasthan Royals since the last campaign.
A utility cricketer, he might get a chance if Jos Buttler is not available for the IPL 2024 playoffs. He can keep wickets and bowl off-spin, as well.
3) Gulbadin Naib
The former skipper of Afghanistan is the replacement for Mitchell Marsh at Delhi Capitals. He is yet to get a game till now.
Naib is a good T20 player. He is known for his big-hitting. The player recently helped his nation win a medal at the Asian Games.
4) Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar
The youngster from Afghanistan is also one of the foreigners you might not know is a part of the ongoing IPL 2024. He is just 16 years old and is already a part of IPL.
The Afghan cricketer is the replacement for Mujeeb Ur Rahman. He is a right-arm spinner and has a mystery element to him.
