3 USA-based former India U19 World Cup winners whom IPL team owners can target in MLC 2023 Draft

The first edition of Major League Cricket will happen in July this year. For this, the draft for domestic cricketers will happen on March 19th. In recent years, many Indian cricketers have quit BCCI to explore opportunities elsewhere, especially in the USA. All these cricketers would now get a taste of IPL as four IPL team owners have invested in the Major League Cricket. CSK, KKR, MI and DC are the four franchises that will either partly or fully own MLC outfits. On that note, here, we take a look at three USA-based former India U19 World Cup winners whom IPL team owners can target in MLC 2023 Draft.

1) Unmukt Chand – 2012 U19 World Cup winner

Unmukt Chand was the captain of the Indian Team that won the 2012 U19 World Cup. He also scored a stunning century in the final.

There were many expectations from Chand but he could not make it big in Indian cricket. However, he is now a high-profile name in the USA and will be one of the faces of MLC.

2) Smit Patel – 2012 U19 World Cup winner

Smit Patel is one of the USA-based former India U19 World Cup winners whom IPL team owners can target in the MLC 2023 Draft. It was shocking when Smit Patel made the move to the USA.

He was a quality player and could have got a few more chances to impress. A good wicket-keeper batter, he would be a decent buy for any of the franchises.

3) Harmeet Singh – 2012 U19 World Cup winner

Harmeet Singh was a highly-rated cricketer in his teenage years. However, he failed to justify his popularity with his performances.

He is now in the USA and would be a domestic option for IPL teams to consider. Harmeet is a quality left-arm offie and would be a good investment for the franchises.
