1) Ben Duckett
It is not sure how he would turn up in the IPL. However, considering his form and skills, Ben would have been an interesting choice for CSK.
He is good against the pacers and could have been the big-hitter that CSK lacks in the lower middle-order at the moment.
2) Shivam Mavi could have been a perfect fit at CSK for IPL 2025
Shivam Mavi is one of the cricketers who had the chance to be in CSK for IPL 2025. At the moment, it looks like Khaleel Ahmed and Sam Curran will open the bowling for CSK.
CSK would have liked a more established new-ball Indian option like Deepak Chahar. Hence, someone like Shivam Mavi, who played T20Is for India in 2023, is on the list here.
3) Mark Chapman
Yes, the consistency is missing but someone like Mark Chapman is good for the finishing role. The team lacks a power-hitter in the back-end.
He is good at finishing games and usually provides those vital cameos. On his day, he would have been an excellent company for MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja at the end.
