3 under-rated performers in IPL 2024 who deserve a chance in the 2024 T20 World Cup squad

It is just a few days to go before India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup gets announced. Although the core of the squad is set, there are still some positions open. IPL, as usual, has given a lot of options to the selectors. On that note, here, we take a look at three under-rated performers in IPL 2024 who deserve a chance in the 2024 T20 World Cup squad.

1) Sandeep Sharma

Sandeep Sharma is one of the under-rated performers in IPL 2024 who deserves a chance in the 2024 T20 World Cup squad. Having come in as a replacement player last season, Sandeep Sharma has been in excellent form for the Rajasthan Royals.

He is not only doing well with the new ball but he is also delivering at the death, something that he was not known for earlier. India does have one slot of an extra pacer and Sandeep will be more than capable of fulfilling that role.

2) T Natarajan

Arshdeep Singh has not been in great form in IPL 2024. India needs a left-arm pacer in top form, someone who can bowl at various phases of the game.

T Natarajan has done just that for SRH in the ongoing campaign. He has bowled in the powerplay and also dished out a number of variations in the death overs. His performances have gone under the radar but if India can have a player like him in the team, it could help the captain.

3) Tilak Varma

Tilak Varma has been the best batter for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. He has helped the team out of the hole on a few occassions till now.

The likes of Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh are ahead of him in the pecking order. However, Tilak offers more stability in the middle order on current form. If not in the 15-member squad, Tilak will surely be an option for the selectors in the travelling reserves.
