The KSCA Maharaja Trophy T20 was a massive success. The main reason was the close games and the performances of some of the players. With so much attention, surely, some IPL teams would have an eye on a few cricketers. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three top performers in the KSCA Maharaja Trophy whom CSK can target for IPL 2025.
1) Shubang Hegde
The young all-rounder from Karnataka did really well with both the bat and the ball this season. He has been a net bowler at RCB before and hence, he has the relevant experience at this level.
CSK must have a backup for Ravindra Jadeja in the squad. Shubang is a rising cricketer of the same profile. Yes, there is scope for development but it is worth signing him now.
2) Abhinav Manohar
Abhinav Manohar is one of the top performers in the KSCA Maharaja Trophy whom CSK can target for IPL 2025. At the current rate, it may not be a surprise if Gujarat Titans end up retaining Abhinav Manohar. However, that may not happen because of the retention policy. Hence, he could go under the hammer.
Abhinav was a star performer in this edition. He smacked all bowlers across the park with ease. He is a monster against spin and his profile would be a perfect fit for the CSK middle-order.
3) KL Shrijith
KL Shrijith was in bad form for some time and he was dropped from the Karnataka squad. However, he is slowly returning back to his best. At No.3 and No.4, he is a good middle-order left-handed batter. He can anchor an innings and also change gears if required.
Importantly, he is a wicket-keeper and CSK needs to plan for a lot of choices if MS Dhoni is not there. Therefore, KL would be an ideal acquisition.
