RCB did well to reach the playoffs in IPL 2024. That said, they need to get their system right to be more consistent, especially in the playoffs. A few good signings at the auction will help. 1) Quinton de Kock
One of the highest run-getters in CPL 2024, QDK also made runs at a good strike rate. He is fairly young and will be a very good choice to replace Faf du Plessis, although not as a skipper.
Importantly, he keeps wickets and complements Virat as a left-handed opener. If he fires, RCB will get a quick start and that will further help the franchise in setting a solid platform.
2) Noor Ahmad
Noor Ahmad is one of the top performers in CPL 2024 whom RCB can target for IPL 2025. The 19-year-old will be the eye of many franchises if he is retained by Gujarat Titans. He is a future superstar and picked the most wickets at CPL 2024.
His economy was just above 6 and now that he has some experience in IPL, you could say that his peak is coming soon. Therefore, he would be a solid buy for the side.
3) Shimron Hetmyer
Hetmyer played for RCB before but the stint lasted for just one season. However, he has developed as a player and has gained a lot of experience in the IPL.
RCB needs a good finisher and preferably a left-hander. While David Miller can be a top pick, RCB can also consider Shimron Hetmyer, especially because he is younger and offers more power. He struck at 185 in CPL 2024 and is in fine form, as well.
