Royal Challengers Bengaluru will look to improve their squad for the next season. It will be Andy Flower’s first Mega Auction for RCB. 1) Fazalhaq Farooqi
Fazalhaq Farooqi is one of the top performers in the 2024 T20 WC whom RCB might target for IPL 2025. The Afghan pacer, who did not get a single game in IPL 2024 for SRH, is one of the highest wicket-takers in the T20 World Cup.
With the new ball and also late in the innings, Farooqi has been doing well. RCB might get back Yash Dayal but to replace Reece Topley, they could have a player like Farooqi in the team.
2) Adam Zampa
Adam Zampa has been very inconsistent when it comes to honouring his IPL contract. Nevertheless, if he goes for a big buck, he is more likely to be a part of the tournament.
RCB is in serious need of a spinner who can lead the attack. The Indian spinners are taken and hence, RCB must target some overseas spinners. Zampa has already played for RCB before. He can control the middle-overs and this is something RCB might desire for their squad.
3) Sherfane Rutherford
He may not rank high in the list of run-getters but in terms of impact, Sherfane has been brilliant. He also won the IPL recently with KKR.
A quality left-handed middle-order batter is a need for all the teams. RCB does not have a good option in this regard. Hence, they can target their former player again.
