These days, the role of an anchor is not very much in a T20 Team. Yet, it is important to have some players capable of doing that. A batter capable of being a good anchor helps a batting line-up when it is in trouble. Also, during a chase, the presence of an anchor allows the others to express themselves freely. 1) Royal Challengers Bangalore
Virat Kohli is one of the best anchors that the game has seen. He has definitely changed his game to suit the needs of the modern era but yet, Virat can always anchor an innings.
Faf du Plessis is also a wonderful accumulator of runs. Last season, he also improved with his strike rate. Now, he has got that attacking game and that has made him more dangerous.
2) Gujarat Titans
Gujarat Titans is one of the teams with the best anchors for IPL 2024. In Shubman Gill, GT has a top-class anchor. However, Gill is also capable of playing the attacking game, which he did in IPL 2023.
