In IPL 2016 Auctions, Rishabh Pant went under the hammer for the first teams. Many teams fought for him and it was eventually Delhi that signed him for INR 1.9 Cr. Since then, he has been with Delhi. Now, the player is all set to enter the auctions again. Hence, it will be interesting to note that teams that were interested in him back then. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three teams which had bid for Rishabh Pant in the IPL 2016 Auctions.

1) Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians fought hard with Delhi for the rising cricketer back then. However, they could not close the deal. In the later auctions, MI managed to sign Ishan Kishan as the keeper.

Now, again, MI has a vacancy for the wicket-keeper slot. That said, MI already has a few galacticos and it might be hard to afford Pant at the auctions.

2) Royal Challengers Bengaluru

in the IPL 2016 Auctions. The Bengaluru-based team was seriously interested in Pant’s services. The team always had a problem with their wicket-keeper back then. Eventually, it was KL Rahul who kept wickets for the side in 2016.

That said, RCB could target Pant yet again in IPL 2025. The team is in need of a wicket-keeper and Pant is the best option in the market. Of course, RCB could also want KL Rahul in the team and hence, it will be interesting to see whom they will eventually sign.

3) Rising Pune Supergiant

RPS already had MS Dhoni as the wicket-keeper. However, the team might have been looking for a backup and hence, the  team made a bid for him. However, they did not stay too long in the race.

Now, the owners of RPS could target Pant again for LSG. At the same time, the coach Stephen Fleming and captain MS Dhoni could now want Rishabh Pant in CSK.
