1) Royal Challengers Bengaluru
RCB will be keen to get a similar cricketer to replace Faf du Plessis as Virat Kohli’s opening partner. The team also needs a wicket-keeper and hence, signing Salt makes sense for the franchise.
The short boundaries at the Chinnaswamy will help Salt do his best for the franchise. Having a player like him will sort this role out for the future, as well.
2) Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians are one of the teams which could target Phil Salt in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. MI could go back to their strategy of having an overseas keeper as an opener. Especially now that Mahela Jayawardene is back at the helm, he could go for an option like Quinton de Kock.
The best option available on the market is Phil Salt. At the Wankhede Stadium, he will be more dangerous. His attacking game will also help Rohit Sharma bat better for the side.
3) Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan Royals already have two wicket-keepers in the squad. While they could try getting Jos Buttler back, if that does not happen, RR will be desperate for a replacement of similar stature.
