1) Lucknow Super Giants
LSG wanted a senior pacer to guide the young pacers on the side. They were right in going after the pacer. They must have signed him. He would have made a difference to the team. Nevertheless, the team will go for a big foreign pacer next year.
2) Kolkata Knight Riders wanted Josh Hazlewood for IPL 2025
KKR is one of the teams which bid for Josh Hazlewood before RCB signed him in the IPL 2025 Auctions. After Starc’s exit, KKR wanted a player of similar stature to lead the pace attack. Josh would have been a wonderful signing for the side. However, KKR had other targets at that time.
3) Mumbai Indians
MI was always searching for a high-profile foreign pacer to partner with Bumrah. In this regard, they made a bid for Josh. However, they did not go further. Eventually, the team signed Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar for the pace attack.
