3 teams that should look to trade Quinton de Kock after IPL 2023

Kyle Mayers is in brilliant form at the moment for Lucknow Super Giants. Quinton de Kock arrived late to IPL 2023 and since then, Mayers has not given a chance to QDK to replace him. QDK is a player who would want to play consistently given that he has already quit Tests. A few teams could be interested in his services in the next seasons. QDK himself could be prompted to look for opportunities elsewhere if he is not promised consistent game time. On that note, here, we take a look at three teams that should look to trade Quinton de Kock after IPL 2023.

1) Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR is in a desperate search for answers at the top of the order. Jason Roy seems to have cemented his place and with a good domestic batting contingent, KKR can afford another extra foreign batter at the top.

The team also needs a wicket-keeper and in this regard, QDK would be an ideal fit for the franchise. Therefore, the two-time champions could look to sign him after IPL 2023.

2) Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans are one of the teams that should look to trade Quinton de Kock after IPL 2023. It is brilliant that despite a few gaps, GT is still doing well.

Wriddhiman Saha could retire in a few overs or his form could drop. In this context, a left-handed aggressive opening partner for Shubman Gill will be a necessity. It is an advantage if this player is also a wicket-keeper. GT already has such an option in the form of Matthew Wade but QDK would be a massive upgrade.

3) Chennai Super Kings

After MS Dhoni retires, CSK would need a wicket-keeper. Devon Conway has the skills but he is not regular at it. Moreover, he has the habit of going inconsistent with the bat.

Considering these factors, CSK could take the bold decision of replacing Conway with QDK. Yes, QDK might not be an ideal fit at Chepauk but as seen in recent times, players happen to re-discover themselves after they put on the yellow jersey.
