3 teams that might target Ravindra Jadeja for next season if he leaves CSK

It appears all is not well between Ravindra Jadeja and CSK. While the last season had its complications, this year, it seems Jaddu is not that happy. He has constantly been posting cryptic comments and it may not be a surprise if he actually leaves the franchise next year. On that note, here, we take a look at three teams that might target Ravindra Jadeja for next season if he leaves CSK.

1) Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians are in desperate need of a leader in the spin attack. They still have not been able to find a good replacement for Krunal Pandya.

Ravindra Jadeja would be an upgrade considering all the aspects. MI would also have his experience in the lower middle-order, which would make Suryakumar Yadav be further destructive at No.3.

2) Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore is one of the teams that might target Ravindra Jadeja for next season if he leaves CSK. Shahbaz Ahmad was poor in IPL 2023. It won’t be a surprise if he is released. RCB also need a good left-hander in the middle-order.

Here is where Jaddu would be an ideal fit for the franchise. RCB’s bowling in the middle-overs has lacked the sting and with his accuracy, Jadeja would be a fine option. He might also be useful in the leadership group.

3) Sunrisers Hyderabad

SRH also do not have an established spinner apart from Washington Sundar, who himself is suffering from bad form and poor fitness. Hence, Jadeja can be a good choice for this attack.

With Jaddu in the line-up, SRH can field one less foreign batter. This would help their balance a lot. The team would also improve on the field. SRH also look the most likely to sign the player if he is released by CSK. This is because of the funds they would have as they might release the likes of Mayank Agarwal and Harry Brook before the next campaign.
