3 teams that could struggle with the bat in IPL 2024 due to two bouncers rule

In IPL 2024, each bowler will be allowed to bowl two bouncers in an over. This is actually a big change, giving the bowlers an extra weapon to tackle the batters. Some batters could struggle in this regard. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three teams that could struggle with the bat in IPL 2024 due to the two bouncers rule.

1) Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB has one of the strongest batting units for IPL 2024. However, when it comes to playing the short ball, the team could struggle as it is not the strength of two of their best batters.

Virat Kohli does not have a weakness against the short ball. However, he usually keeps it down and hence, he cannot maximise it. On the other hand, for Maxwell, the short ball is a weakness. Hence, this ploy can now be used by the bowlers more.

2) Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR is one of the teams that could struggle with the bat in IPL 2024 due to two bouncers rule. The first thing is that at Eden Gardens, the tracks might not be that bouncy for pacers to exploit this rule.

However, when they travel, the likes of Shreyas Iyer, Nitish Rana and even Andre Russel and Rinku Singh could struggle. Jason Roy is probably the best answer for KKR but he plays at the top. Hence, this could be a problem for them.

3) Chennai Super Kings

With the unavailability of Devon Conway, CSK has lost a good player of the hard-length ball. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ajinkya Rahane are also good but the likes of Shivam Dube could struggle.

At times, even Jadeja fails to connect. Daryl Mitchell plays the full ball well but is not rated the best against the rising delivery. Hence, CSK is also on this list.
