RCB did not have an excellent IPL 2025 Mega Auction. They still assembled a decent squad. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three strengths of the RCB squad in IPL 2025.
1) The opening combination
Virat Kohli won the Orange Cap last year. He batted at a good strike rate, as well. Of course, his current form is a concern but with his experience, he will be expected to do well.
Phil Salt was one of the best openers in IPL 2024. He will complement Virat well and will allow the legend to take some time. This could work well for the franchise.
2) Powerplay bowling is one of the strengths of the RCB squad in IPL 2025
Powerplay bowling is one of the strengths of the RCB squad in IPL 2025. RCB has as many as three good pacers who can make an impact in the powerplay.
Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are likely to take the new ball. Yash Dayal did well in the powerplay last season. He could come up in the back end of the powerplay in IPL 2025.
3) Power-hitters in the batting line-up
RCB seemed to have been intentional in selecting their batters for IPL 2025. There seems to be power across the batting line-up.
The likes of Phil Salt, Rajat Patidar, Liam Livingstone and Tim David could clear any boundaries easily. Jitesh Sharma is also decent in this regard.
