Well, Royal Rumble left the fans on the edge of their seat as it was a mind-blowing battle between the premier stars and eventually it was Cody Rhodes who went onto grab the win defeating the mighty CM Punk in the battle of the 30 superstars. The American Nightmare finally got a shot to complete his story with Punk watching on.
However, is the time still ripe for Cody to flaunt the belt? Well a year ago, there was a chance and WWE wasted it by letting Reigns keep the title. So is this time yet for Cody to get the belt around his waist? Truth be told, maybe not. Here are three reasons why.
#1 Cody Rhodes is on a warpath with two premium superstars and a title run will simply bog the storyline
Being very honest, Roman and Cody are actually on two different warpaths at the moment. Cody Rhodes has been on a line where he has challenged the likes of CM Punk and it feels personal while Drew McIntyre is hot on his heels too.

The last time these three came face to face, WWE was buzzing altogether. A belt would mean that the rest two would get a snub and hence, this storyline is more important than the title for which Roman should beat Cody.
#2 Roman Reigns’ final nail on the coffin should come either from Solo Sikoa or Dwayne Johnson
Cody may be the superstar that WWE wants to put in the face of their poster but when it comes to being an enforcer carrying the title, it has to be Solo Sikoa or Dwayne Johnson. Sikoa is on high tension with Roman Reigns and at times it feels like the chain may break and the Enforcer will go all guns blazing. Hence if the title goes to Cody, the entire dream about Bloodline imploding because of Solo will go down the drain.
#3 The fans will have to be agitated enough to let WWE know that it’s enough

The fans are not liking the fact that Roman continues to the title. One more win for him and they will probably riot like they did during Daniel Bryan’s reign when they flooded the ring. That is exactly what is needed in order to make Roman feel that he is disliked and why the title should change hands finally.
