3 potential areas of improvement for RCB before IPL 2026

RCB won the IPL after 18 years. It is now time for the franchise to consolidate its position in the league. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three potential areas of improvement for RCB before IPL 2026.

1) Solid few options for No.3

RCB initially did not have a fine No.3. However, Devdutt Padikkal did well. While RCB will trust him again, it is better to have some backups here. There are quite a few left-handed domestic batters who can be an option here.

2) RCB must find new-ball backups before IPL 2026

Both Bhuvi and Josh Hazlewood are not at the peak of their careers. Especially with Bhuvi, you could see that the magic is missing. Hence, RCB must find a new-ball bowler who adds stability in the powerplay. Otherwise, RCB could have a few issues in the next two seasons.

3) A foreign big-hitting stable all-rounder

Liam Livingstone was a disappointment. RCB needs a foreign batter for No.5 who can also provide a few overs. Tim David may not be this player. In this regard, RCB could target someone like Ben Stokes or Cameron Green to add balance and strength to the side. Therefore, the management must look at this hole.
