Mohammed Shami is out of IPL 2024. Gujarat Titans are yet to name a replacement but they must take time for it. So far, we have not seen a mid-season transfer signing. For that, a player should not have played a certain number of games before he becomes eligible. While teams usually are not ready to give away a player midway through a season, somewhere, some franchise has to make a move. Or else, the mid-season transfer window would be a waste. It could well happen in IPL 2024. On that note, here, we take a look at three players whom GT must target in the mid-season transfer window to replace Mohammed Shami.

1) Navdeep Saini

Rajasthan Royals has a lot of Indian pacers. Hence, a few of them might hardly get a game. Prasidh Krishna and Avesh Khan could be preferred and hence, Saini could warm the bench.

For GT, though, he would be a good signing. He can hit the deck hard in the middle overs. He also offers pace, something GT would now need in the absence of Shami.

2) Simarjeet Singh

Simarjeet Singh is one of the players whom GT must target in the mid-season transfer window to replace Mohammed Shami. Last season, he did not play because of an injury. Yet, CSK retained the highly-rated pacer.

However, he could warm the bench again. With the arrival of Shardul Thakur, CSK seems to have its options covered in the Indian pace department. Mukesh Choudhary is also back and that further puts Simarjeet in a hard position when it comes to game time.

3) Kuldeep Sen

Kuldeep Sen’s situation would be the same as that of Navdeep Saini. Hence, he is also on this list of players whom GT can line-up.

Sen did not get a lot of games to play in IPL 2024. If he pushes for a move, he could play for the Titans in the upcoming campaign.
