3 players who withdrew from IPL 2024 and may not play in IPL again

Many times, we see a cricketer withdrawing from an IPL season for unknown reasons. It is clear that wages is one of the reasons. Nevertheless, the board has not been taking action till now. That said, IPL franchises have posed this issue to IPL and we could see such players getting punished. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three players who withdrew from IPL 2024 and may not play in IPL again.

1) Jason Roy

Jason Royal has pulled out of IPL in multiple seasons. This is not a very good image for him. He has already lost his spot in the England Team and hence, the value of his stocks are low.

Roy has not done very well in the IPL till now. There are younger and better openers now. Hence, Roy might not get that IPL contract again.

2) Adam Zampa

Adam Zampa is one of the players who withdrew from IPL 2024 and may not play in IPL again. The Aussie is definitely one of the best spinners in the game right now. He has also done well in India. However, in the IPL, he has not done very well.

Hence, he is not getting huge bids and he is mostly being hired as a backup spinner. Zampa has withdrawn from multiple IPL seasons, including IPL 2024. This is becoming a pattern and teams might not want to take a chance again. Hence, they might stay away from the player.

3) David Willey

Lucknow Super Giants had David Willey on the payroll for IPL 2024. However, the Englishman never turned up the franchise. He withdrew citing personal reasons. Hence, LSG lost an important all-rounder.

Now that he has retired from international cricket, Willey has lost opportunities to impress IPL franchises. Plus, he is not rated highly in other leagues. Hence, it is very unlikely that he will play in the IPL again.
