3 players who were surprisingly not shortlisted by franchises for IPL 2024 Auctions

On Monday, BCCI announced the list of players who will be going under the hammer on December 19th in IPL 2024 Auctions. On November 30th, the deadline had closed for players to register for the auctions. Later, the franchises shortlisted some candidates and hence, the final list was derived. Interestingly, some notable names did not find a mention in this list. Here, we take a look at three players who were surprisingly not shortlisted by franchises for IPL 2024 Auctions.

1) Priyam Garg

Not long ago, Priyam Garg was rated as one of the next big things in Indian cricket. He was the skipper of the U19 Team and did have a few good outings for SRH in the IPL.

Last season, he came in as a replacement signing for Delhi Capitals. He was not retained by the team. However, considering his potential, many teams could have been interested in him. That said, sadly, it appears that Priyam Garg is not in the plans of any team.

2) Kedar Jadhav

Kedar Jadhav had slotted himself in the INR 2 Cr bracket in IPL 2024 Auctions. While he was expected to be unsold, not many thought that he would not even come to the auctions.

He captained Maharashtra this season and was in decent touch. Kedar is an experienced cricketer and a few teams might have liked it. Therefore, it was a surprise to see him not in the final list.

3) Samarth Vyas

Samarth Vyas is one of the players who were surprisingly not shortlisted by franchises for IPL 2024 Auctions. Not long ago, he was rated highly in the domestic circuit. In fact, he was one of the leading run-scorers in the last domestic season. He was signed up by SRH for IPL 2023.

It is surprising that no team has shown an interest in him. For a player who has done well in the domestic circuit, it is indeed disappointing to hear this news.
