3 Players who may have played their last game in IPL

IPL 2023 is officially in the history books now. The 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League entertained the fans across the world, and in the end, MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings joined the Mumbai Indians as the second team with five championship wins to their name.

The league started in the year 2008, and almost every season, fans have witnessed some retirements. Like just before the start of the 2023 season, it was announced that Kieron Pollard would retire from the league and work as a batting coach for the Mumbai Indians. Similarly, Dwayne Bravo retired from the competition and joined CSK as a bowling coach.

In this article now, we will look at the three such players who may have played the last game of their careers in the 2023 season.

1. Ambati Rayudu has confirmed retirement from IPL

Ambati Rayudu has already confirmed that the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League was his last. The right-handed batter wanted to retire last year itself, but he took a U-turn. This year, he confirmed that there will be no U-turns, and he played a match-winning cameo for his side in the final match as well.

2. Manish Pandey may find it tough to get another chance in IPL

Manish Pandey has been struggling to perform well in the league since the last two seasons. He had a forgettable season with the Lucknow Super Giants in 2022, and joining the Delhi Capitals in 2023 did not change his fortunes as well. It will be interesting to see if Pandey gets another chance to prove himself in the league.

3. Mandeep Singh

Another experienced Indian batter to feature on this list is Mandeep Singh. The Kolkata Knight Riders gave him three chances in the top-order this year, but he could not make them count. Singh may return to the auction pool in 2024.
