India’s squad for the ICC 2025 Champions Trophy is set to be selected soon. Here, we take a look at the list of three players who could unluckily miss out on the Indian Champions Trophy squad.
1) Washington Sundar
In recent months, Sundar got himself an opening in all three formats of the game. However, he could miss out on another ICC event.
Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav will be the lead spinners. Ravindra Jadeja is likely to be there and hence, Washi could miss out.
2) Ruturaj Gaikwad could miss out on the Indian Champions Trophy squad
Ruturaj Gaikwad is one of the players who could unluckily miss out on the India Champions Trophy squad. The ODI format is best suited for Rutu’s game.
However, Yashasvi Jaiswal is set to be selected as the backup opener. There is nothing much Rutu can do because Jaiswal is in hot form.
3) Sanju Samson
Sanju Samson has been doing well for India in the T20I format. That said, he may not be selected for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.
KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant are likely to be the wicket-keepers for Team India. Hence, Sanju Samson may not find a spot here.
