Team India’s squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup was announced recently. However, teams still have a deadline of May 25th to make if any changes are needed. Considering IPL 2024 is ongoing, we might see a few teams opting for a chance, especially Team India. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three players who could still get a chance in the Indian Team for the 2024 T20 WC.
1) T Natarajan
T Natarajan has been in stunning form in IPL 2024. The last few seasons did not go in the desired way for the Tamil Nadu veteran. However, in IPL 2024, he is nailing those yorkers and is also doing well with his variations.
India’s left-arm pace option in the squad in Arshdeep Singh. He has been out of touch and has leaked a lot of runs. If that continues, Nattu could still have an opportunity.
2) Sandeep Sharma
Barring Jasprit Bumrah, India does not have a reliable pacer in the squad right now. Hence, they could consider an in-form cricketer like Sandeep Sharma.
Sandeep has new-ball value and in the recent weeks, he has become a specialist in the death overs, as well. Hence, he is on this list.
3) KL Rahul
KL Rahul is one of the players who could still get a chance in the Indian Team for the 2024 T20 WC. Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar mentioned that since KL Rahul did not have experience in the middle-order in T20s, they could not consider him.
However, in the recent ODI World Cup, he was one of the best middle-order batters. Yes, it is a different format but knowing KL, he has the skills to pull off such a role in the T20 format, as well. Hence, if KL Rahul can push his case in the coming days, he could still have a chance.
