iIt was yet another exit for England from an ICC ODI event. A few players did not step up in Pakistan. Here, we take a look at the list of three players who could get dropped from the England ODI squad.
1) Phil Salt
Ever since the India Tour, Salt has been in poor touch. While the team will continue with him in the T20I format, he could be dropped from the ODI side.
He is yet to showcase the skills of playing a long knock. Therefore, England would be better off with a fresh option at the top of the order.
2) Mark Wood could be dropped from the England ODI squad
Mark Wood is one of the players who could get dropped from the England ODI squad. It is more about his age and fitness.
It would be a long shot for England to have him in the 2027 ODI World Cup squad. Therefore, t is better to invest in younger talent. Therefore, Wood could be dropped.
3) Liam Livingstone
England is playing with four specialist bowlers just to have Liam in the squad at No.7. It is not working out for them till now.
Also, the big-hitter is running hot-and-cold in the tournament. Investing in a pure all-rounder could be a better approach for the side.
